Well the weather is changeable!  But rain or shine w e are open Tuesdays to Saturdays 9.30 - 1.30 pm at    Fr iar Wadden Rd, Upwey, Weymouth, DT3 4EW. 



Fresh breads, croissants, sausage rolls, pasties & cakes every day. Our speciality breads make an appearance at weekends along with savoury & sweet pastries. The Plum Eccles have been unleashed again & we have a new bread that we're rather keen on which is the Walnut, Apricot & Rosemary soda bread. Toast it and add a dollop of butter - yum!  The Rosemary & Potato Focaccia is flying out and the new game pasties are proving popular.

Well, hell fire! We've only gone and won the best baker gong at the Taste of Dorset Awards! Needless to say, we're a wee bit chuffed. We just want to say a really, really big thank you to everyone that voted for us. We also want to thank the judges, John Hole of GWR Hole & Sons, and Chris Tory of the Dorset Game Larder for choosing little old us, as well as providing delicious sausages for the awards dinner. Also, Jennie Duley for making us the most stunning award plate, and Blackmore Vale Magazine for all their support.
                    
Homemade by Lizzie & Bekki is a very small, cottage industry style affair that pretty much does what it says on the tin. Based in Upwey, we are Lizzie & Bekki (also known as the 'Baking Birds') and we create speciality home baked and hand made goods, making the most of the wealth of fantastic produce available to us here in Dorset.
 
The Stall
As well as some of the more traditional baked goods, we delight in fashioning many more
experimental creations such as rhubarb & cardamom cake and homemade onion marmalade & goats cheese pizza. Our food is inspired by season, local produce, books, countries, films, music, and our own impulses, fancies and wild imaginations. Rest assured, there is never a dull moment at Windsbatch HQ!

We sell directly through the Dorset Farmers Markets, and we and our rather colourful and sometime ramshackle stall can be found once a month at Bridport, Broadstone, Dorchester South Street, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Poundbury and twice a month in Wareham. We can also be found once a month in Weymouth with Mrs Pooks Best in Dorset markets. Each month we change our Farmers' Market ‘menu’ to reflect the season as far as possible, and give you and ourselves some variety. There is always a wild selection of cakes, breads and savoury and sweet scones. 

As well as hawking our wares at the farmers markets we also supply a number of cafes, restaurants & pubs with cakes, jams, chutneys, bread and scones and flapjack to River Cottage for their festival attendance. We are really pleased to be the main cake supplier to Gould's Dorset Kitchen in Dorchester & we're now supplying cake to Monkey World. Plus, you can also find us ‘in the kitchen at parties’ where we will do the homemade so you can party without the hassle-and if you would like a cake for an ‘occasion’ we can do that too!
