HIGH EXCITEMENT at Stable Cottage HQ as thanks to our lovely customers (that's you) we have been informed that we are finalists for the  Best Bakery Producer (cakes & biscuits) for the Taste of Dorset.  So Bekki and I are very excited and are off to a Dorset dinner for the awards ceremony in September. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO WAS KIND ENOUGH TO NOMINATE US - you know who you are!

We sell directly through the Dorset Farmers Markets, and we and our rather colourful and sometime ramshackle stall can be found once a month at Bridport, Sherborne, Poundbury and twice a month at Wareham. We have at last decided it was time we joined the market in Weymouth too so we can be found there once a month with Mrs Pooks Best in Dorset markets. Each month we change our Farmers' Market ‘menu’ to reflect the season as far as possible, and give you and ourselves some variety. There is always a wild selection of cakes, breads and savoury and sweet scones. 

As well as hawking our wares at the farmers markets we also supply a number of cafes, restaurants, pubs and the village store with cakes, jams, chutneys, bread and scones and more recently we have been supplying flapjack to River Cottage. Plus, you can also find us ‘in the kitchen at parties’ where we will do the homemade so you can party without the hassle-and if you would like a cake for an ‘occasion’ we can do that too! Last, but not least, if you want to try us out you will also find us cooking at a number of antiques fairs, including Osmington and Wareham, where we produce hot and cold meals such as full roast dinners, French beef stews, savoury tarts, salads and, of course, many of our baked goodies.
